We found out Friday before last but Vicki’s parents just got back into town this past Friday, and we were just able to go to the Dr. today to confirm so I can now tell you guys that we are going to have our first child. We’ve been given a ton of advice and lots of suggestions but, as you all know, the most important thing right now is to pick potential names. We’re due in March so there’ll be plenty of time for all the other child rearing stuff later.
Any advice from you old pros? Where did your pop get it right?

Congratulations!! I don’t really have any advise on picking the name, it’s such a personal thing to couples. We really liked the idea of biblical names and praying about what name would fit.
Even more important than parenting advise or picking a name - live into this season, put some extra effort into how you love each other. I expect life is already different for you, and it is getting ready to change more (not that life is over - it’s just different and in many ways, better).
Should have written that a little better, The naming and the advice are two different subjects. Maybe that’s why there hasn’t been many replies.
